You do NOT want to know how many times I’ve popped onto an author’s Amazon profile page to grab their bio for a podcast or some other promo I’m helping out with – only to discover that things are way out of date. Like – a book that came out a year ago referred to as “forthcoming.”

Even worse, there’s the non-existent author Amazon page, sometimes combined with no website or easily discoverable social media accounts.

Oh - and there was that time I popped onto BookBub to leave a review – and I couldn’t because the author had not yet claimed the book.

I could go on at length about social profiles and websites but will stick to highlights:

·      That outdated bio again

·      Posts and links for promotions and giveaways that have long ago ended

To be one hundred percent honest – I have discovered many of these errors on my own profiles and websites. Eek!
